Did you read it for fun? DEATH SCENES ARE AMAZING, but they usually aren't written very well in books. I suddenly have the dying need for cookies/brownies...

Yeah.
Lots of elements were missing from the deaths, like Rasputin moving when he was wraped up in the rug or curtain or whatever, and the girls and Alexei not dying right away because of their jewels.

but the defenition of a death scene is seen, not read, otherwise it's a death passage or chapter or discription
